Videocon has unveiled a new smartphone- Videocon Ultra50 in India
Soon after the launch of Cube 3, Videocon has unveiled a new smartphone- Videocon Ultra50 in India. The smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs. 8,990 and will be available on both online and offline platforms from November first week. The smartphone is available in two color variants- Space Grey and Gold.
The main highlights of the handset include its fingerprint sensor, 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, VoLTE support, and dual-SIM capabilities. It also comes with pre-installed emergency response app known as ‘SOS-BE Safe’ that employs power button of the device as the panic button to send alerts to the registered contacts in the emergency list.
Moreover, the handset features dual WhatsApp that allows the users to use two WhatsApp accounts with different number simultaneously. It also has gesture support to perform different functions. For example, drawing ‘O’ will initiate the flashlight, ‘M’ will start the music, and ‘C’ will start the camera.
Other speculations in Videocon Ultra50 include a 5-inch full HD IPS (720×1280 pixels) paired with Asahi Dragontrail Glass protection. It is powered by a 64-bit 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6735 quad-core processor along with Mail-TT20 GPU, and 3GB RAM. The smartphone offers 32GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card.
The Videocon Ultra50 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and comes with a 3000mAh battery. Videocon claims that the battery can last up to 350 hours of standby and 8 hours of talk time. It sports a 13-megapixel primary camera with dual-LED flash and PDAF, and a 5-
megapixel secondary camera along with LED flash and low-light selfies. The measurement of Videocon Ultra50 comes at 148.1×11.27mm. Connectivity options in Ultra50 include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 4G VoLTE, GPS, FM radio, and Bluetooth 4.0.
The fingerprint scanner is housed at the front, under the Home Button.
