Vivo India unveiled V5 selfie-centric smartphone on Tuesday
Vivo India unveiled V5 selfie-centric smartphone on Tuesday in India. The handset will be accessible for pre-order in around 22 towns from Wednesday and will go on sale on 26th November. The V5 is priced at Rs. 17,980. Vivo also launched the Vivo V5 Plus. However, it didn’t specify when the device featuring dual front camera will go on sale. The Vivo V5 will be available in Space Grey and Crown Gold colour options.
Of, course the highlight feature of V5 is its 20-megapixel selfie camera that comes with a front-facing ‘Moonlight Glow’ flash intended to enhance the low-light shots. It has a f/2.0 aperture, a 5P lens, a Sony IMX376 sensor. The smartphone has preinstalled Face Beauty 6.0 app. V5 sports a metal unibody runs on Funtouch 2.6 OS based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, and support dual-SIM.
The handset comes with a full HD display that has 720×1280 pixels resolution. It is powered by an octa-core SoC paired with 4GB of RAM. Apart from the 20-megapixel front snapper, it has a 13-megapixel rear camera as well. V5 has an internal storage capacity of 32GB that can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. The handset features water resistant fingerprint sensor that is housed below the home button. The company claims that the fingerprint sensor has the capability to unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds. The device packs a 3000mAh battery. And the smartphone packs standard connectivity options that include 4G support.
The device also features Hifi audio support, and the company is flaunting a Smart Split 2.0 feature that allows the users use to applications side-by-side. Also, the smartphone comes with an eye protection mode that filters blue light.
