A new Eluga-series smartphone unveiled – Panasonic Eluga Prim
Panasonic has unveiled a new Eluga-series smartphone, the Panasonic Eluga Prim. The company announced that the smartphone would be made available via offline retailer across the nation at Rs. 10,290.
At the launch event, Pankaj Rana, Business Head, Mobility Division, Panasonic India, stated the new Panasonic Eluga Prim is a great combination of style and security. The fingerprint scanner housed at the front will be able to scan your fingers and thumbs in a split second and it also acts as a home button. This sleek smartphone is a smart balance between the two main aspects of smartphone that users look for.
The main highlight of the device is that it comes with 4G LTE and voice over LTE (VoLTE) which means users can make voice calls over mobile data on supporting networks such as Reliance Jio. The Panasonic Eluga Prim comes features a dual-SIM and a dedicated microSD card slot. The device will be made available in Gold colour with white screen panel and Gunmetal with Black screen panel. The device also houses fingerprint sensor at the front.
Coming to the specifications of Panasonic Eluga Prim, it features Android for Work to keep work applications and personal applications separate, and also keeps the data secure. It comes with a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display. The smartphone is powered by a quad-core processor which is clocked at 1.2GHz along with 3GB of RAM, and internal storage capacity of 16GB which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
In terms of the optics, Panasonic Eluga Prim bears 13-megapixel autofocus primary camera along with triple-LED flash. It also comes with a 5-megapixel front snapper. The device is powered by a 2500mAh battery. As for the connectivity, the device has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G HSPA, Bluetooth 4.0.
