Alcatel India is planning to expand its retail network to 5,000 stores
Smartphone manufacturer Alcatel India is planning to expand its retail network to 5,000 stores in five states by the end of March next year as it looks forward to expanding its market share in the nation.Praveen Valecha, Regional Director, Alcatel India stated that the company is increasing its retail presence to expand the market share. Currently, the company sell through around 700 stores in selected regions. By March Alcatel plans to sell across 1000 stores each in five states- Karnataka, Delhi, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh.

It supports dual-SIM and runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. It features a 5.2-inch HD IPS LTPS (1080×1920 pixels) display. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor which is paired with Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The device offers an onboard storage capacity of 16GB which can be further expanded up to 512GB via microSD card. The device bears a 13-megapixel primary camera at the back along with touch focus and dual-LED flash. At the front, it houses an 8-megapixel snapper with flash.

The smartphone is packed with a 2610mAh battery plus it also features Quick Charge version 2.0.Valecha further added that Idol 4 is the sixth smartphone by the company that is launched in India. It will be bringing more models next year to speed up the company’s strategy to attain 10 percent market share in the country by 2018. Alcatel has around 2-3 percent share in the online market. And the offline presence will further help the company to achieve 3-4 additional sales.
