BSNL introduces unlimited local and STD calls at Rs. 144. Following in the footsteps of Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd, Bharti Airtel Ltd and several other telecom operators, the state-owned BSNL introduces unlimited local and STD calls at Rs 144 for its customers providing similar features as of its counterparts.
BSNL’s new plan would be available for both prepaid and postpaid users, said company chairman and managing director Anupam Srivastava.
The plan offers unlimited STD and local calls to any network for a duration of one month with 300 MB of free internet data usage.
BSNL is already offering unlimited 3G services for Rs 1099 per month. Now it is Introducing a new combo STV with Unlimited local and STD calls BSNL to any network with 1 GB data for only Rs 339 with a validity of 28 days on a Pan India basis.
BSNL also took up several initiatives like providing 4400 WiFi hotspots across the country. The company chairman also said that their next strategy is to expand the 4400 WiFi hotspots to around 40000 WiFi hotspots across the country in the next one year.
Apart from that, the company has obtained 2500 MHz from the Government of India for launching their services in rural areas. The company also revealed that they will be working on Long Term Evolution (LTE) spectrum.
BSNL introduced an unlimited calling offer both local and STD BSNL to BSNL for its pre-paid users in December along with limited free data usage of up to 300 MB for only Rs 99 with a validity of 28 days.
The rates will be relevant in West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan for within network calls. In other areas, the same offer will vary from Rs 119 to Rs 149.
