Coolpad Mega 2.5D Launched at Rs. 6999
A selfie-centric phones, Coolpad Mega 2.5D, has been introduced in India. The product is priced at Rs 6,999. The main highlight of Coolpad Mega 2.5D Launched is its 8 megapixels front camera which comes with a wide 83.6-degree field view and aperture of f/2.2. It also offers Smart Beautification that modifies selfies and automatically identifies the user’s age. The phone is available exclusively on Amazon in India from 24th August.
Coolpad is also offering a flash sale model, and the registration will start from 10th August 5 pm onwards on Amazon India.
Coming to the specifications of the Coolpad Mega 2.5D, it comes with a 5.5-inch IPS HD display. It has a metal casing along with 2.5D curved glass. The primary camera is also 8 megapixels which feature Sony’s image sensor and autofocus. The device is powered by 1GHz quad core Mediatek MT6735P processor paired with Mali T720 GPU. It packs a 3GB RAM and an internal storage capacity of 16GB which comes with an expandable option up to 32GB via microSD card.
The new smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based on Cool UI 8.0. The company has integrated lots of new features such as Screenshot 2.0 and Slide-up to Cool UI. The phone supports a 2500mAh battery and claims to provide20 hours of standby and talk time of 9 hours. It is the dual-SIM smartphone which supports 4G VoLTE.
Selfie-centric phones seem like a new trend in the Indian smartphone market. Earlier the Chinese smartphone company Oppo introduced a selfie-centric smartphone in the market, Oppo F1. The smartphone features 16 megapixels front camera with other beautification options, and the device was priced at 26,990. Another example is Sony, which launched XA Ultra that came with 16 megapixels selfie camera, and is priced at Rs. 29,990. So precisely, Coolpad is yet another smartphone manufacturer who launched an affordable device with its primary focus on front camera.
