After many rumors and news around the world, Coolpad finally launched the most amazing flagship smartphone Coolpad Play 6 in the Indian market on Sunday 20, August 2017. This smartphone comes with the price tag of Rs 14999 for the Indian market and will be going on sale from the 4th September exclusively through Amazon India. TheCoolpad arrives in Indian market which is highly dominant by Chinese companies such as Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo. This smartphone from Coolpad will get the strong rivalry from the smartphones such as Redmi Note 5 and Moto G5 Plus. Also, the Coolpad Play 6 will be going to compete with the similar prices smartphones of Nokia and Motorola. Coolpad comes under the India’s “Make in India” manufactured by Videocon.
Design and Specifications
The Coolpad Play 6 comes with the sleeky and metallic unibody design. It is embedded with the 5.5 Inch display with Full HD resolutions of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The buttons of the device are capacitive for the back, home, and recent applications.
The rear side of the device is highly dominant by the dual camera’s setup and there is also fingerprint scanner embedded underneath the camera setup. The whole setup of both the cameras and the fingerprint scanner is surrounded with the glossy metallic body.
It runs on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat based on the custom Journey UI and company also claimed that this device will get the update of Android O by December 2017. The phone also supports the Dual-SIM (Nano+Nano) with Hybrid SIM.
Under the hood, there is powerful Octa-core Snapdragon 653 processor (includes four 1.95GHz cores + four 1.44GHz cores) which clocks at 1.4GHz and is also coupled with the RAM of 6GB which provides the freedom to install as many apps as you wanted. As far as the internal memory is the concern it has the 64GB of internal storage and can further be expanded via Micro SD Card.
As we mentioned above the Coolpad Play 6 features Dual camera which is of 13 MP Sony sensors and with the dual-LED flash. This is similar to the flagship smartphone of Huawei. On the other hand, the front selfie camera of the device consists of 8MP camera sensor with f/2.2 aperture. The video shooting capability of the rear camera setup is 4K which is highly applaudable for the Coolpad Play 6.
In the list of the connectivity options of the Coolpad Play 6, it includes the 4G LTE, VoLTE, dual SIMS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/AGPS and also comes with the USB-Type C port which is used for charging as well as Data transfer. There is also the 3.5 mm headphone jack.
