After unveiling the Gionee P7 Max last month, Gionee has launched the Gionee P7 smartphone in India, expanding its āPā lineup in the nation. The Gionee P7 comes with a price tag of Rs. 9,999 and is up for grabs across all the major retail and online platform in the country.
The smartphone is available in White, Grey, and Latte Gold color variants and comes with a glass back featuring ribbed pattern. The power and volume buttons are placed on the right edge, and the device features a metal edge.
Coming to the specifications of Gionee P7, the smartphone supports dual-SIM slots and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based on Amigo 3.2. The device is a smaller variant of the Gionee P7 Max and comes with few downgraded specifications. The device comes with a 5-inch (720×1280 pixels)HD IPS display along with soda lime protection. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with an internal storage capacity of 16GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.
In terms of optics, Gionee P7 comes with an 8-megapixel primary camera on the back and a 5-megapixel front snapper for selfies and video calls. The handset is powered by a 2300mAh battery which the company claims are capable of offering 259 hours of standby time. As for the connectivity, P7 includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 4G VoLTE, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, and FM radio. The Gionee P7 lacks the fingerprint scanner.
To recall, the Gionee P7 Max was introduced at Rs. 13.999 with 5.5-inch HD display, and a 2.2 GHz octa-core MT6595 processor accompanied by 3GB of RAM. The device comes with an onboard storage capacity of 32GB along with an expandability option. It houses a 13-megapixel rear sensor, 5-megapixel front sensor, and a 3100mAh battery.
