HTC is expected to launch its latest flagship of smartphone next month
Along with the launch of the Desire 10 Pro smartphone in India, HTC is expected to launch its latest flagship of smartphone next month. Entitled as the HTC Evo, the smartphone is the global model of the HTC Bolt smartphone that was launched for Sprint in the US earlier this month.
At the New Delhi launch event, the company revealed that the HTC Evo would be announced in the country by the end of December. Though the company hasn’t revealed any pricing information. HTC 10 Evo was launched in UK and Taiwan earlier this week. In Taiwan that device (the 32GB variant) has been priced at TWD 17,990 (around Rs. 38,500) and TWD 19,900 (Rs. 43,000 approximately for the 64GB variant.
The smartphone is available in Gunmetal, Gold, and Silver colour variants in Taiwan. The main highlight of the smartphone is that it packed with USB Type-C enabled headphones. The smartphone is also flaunting HTC BoomSound Adaptive Audio. The device houses a fingerprint sensor below the display which the company claims can unlock the device in just 0.2 seconds.
The HTC 10 Evo and HTC Bolt just have a slight difference. The handset comes with a 5.5-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) display along with Corning Gorilla Glass 5, and also has water-resistant aluminium build. HTC 10 Evo runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box and has features like free unlimited photo storage with Google Photos app. Split-screen view, and inbuilt Google Duo calling app.
The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC paired with 3GB of RAM and onboard storage capacity of 32GB. It also offers expandability of storage up to 2TB via microSD card.
Coming to the optics of HTC 10 Evo, it bears a 16-megapixel primary camera along with OIS, PDAF, and 4k video recording. There is also an 8-megapixel front camera with screen flash. The device is powered by a 3200mAh battery along with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 fast charging technology.
