Images of Xiaomi Mi 5c have been leaked
We have seen a couple of leaks of Xiaomi Meri aka Mi 5c on several occasions, and it is expected to be the first smartphone from the company to feature an in-house processor. Recently, images of Xiaomi Mi 5c have been leaked before
its official launch, hinting that the smartphone will be released soon.
Images of Xiaomi Mi 5c were spotted on Weibo, and they reveal pretty much want the other leaks did. The device features a sleek casing with round edges, and the fingerprint sensor is packed under the Home Button at the front. The power and volume buttons are both placed on the right side, and the camera flash module is housed on the top right edge at the back.
According to the images of Xiaomi Mi 5C, The Xioami Mi 5c is expected to come with a 5.5-inch HD (1080×1920 pixels) display along with 403ppi pixel density. It is tipped to be powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz and coupled with 3GB of RAM and ARM Mali-T860 GPU. The handset will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based MIUI 8 out of the box and features NFC-based payments. The handset is expected to be launched in Rose Gold, and Black colour variant.
Xiaomi Meri smartphone is expected to come with a price tag of CNY 1,499 (around Rs. 14,800) and as we mentioned before it is rumoured to be powered by Xiaomi’s in-house Pine Cone processor. The report has it that the company has been working on its own processor for quite some time, now the Chinese electronics firm appears to be finally geared up to launch it in the market. The in-house Pine Cone chipset is all set to vie with other companies in-house chips such as the Huawei-made Kirin chipset, and Samsung’s Exynos chipset. The Xiaomi Mi 5c is largely tipped to unveil at an event on December 12 in China.
