Intex Aqua Lions: Intex, an Indian smartphone company which was founded in 1996, has launched a new phone on Monday especially for the IPL lovers. The low-budgeted smartphone, which is now revealed, is named after the Gujarat Lions IPL team, a team owned by Intex technologies. The Intex Aqua Lions, which is priced at Rs 4,999, is now available in the market. The company claims that the phone is specially designed for the IPL cricket lovers. The budget handset as per the company is designed for IPL fans.
For enhancing the connection with the young consumers, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Mobile Business Head of Intex Technologies said, “With Gujarat Lions, Intex has further strengthened its association with cricket and youth. The Lions series will help in reinforcing the brand association and enhance the connect with young consumers.”
The Aqua Lions sports a 5.00-inch screen phone with 720×1280 pixels. It is powered by 1.2GHz processor, and the battery is backed up by a 3500mAh battery. It has been claimed by the company that the battery provides a talk-time of 6-8 hours and the standby time up to 20 days. And further on, the battery saver mode in the smartphone enables the battery life to increase the battery up to 50 percent. The device measures 145.00 x 71.50 x 9.50 mm and weighs 172 gm.
The memory of the device is coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. In supplement, the memory of the phone is expandable and can be extended up to 32GB. It runs on the Androidv5.1 Lollipop version. The camera features 5-megapixel rear camera along with flashlight and front camera comes with 2-megapixel. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and 3G connections. Hence, it does not support a 4G connection. Sensors on the smartphone include Accelerometer, Gyroscope, and Proximity sensor.
The handset further on comes with some pre-loaded apps for the consumers. It included Intex service, Clean Master, Opera Mini, Saavn, Freecharge, Newshunt, I-store, Hike messenger and much more. The major app which is integrated within the device is Gujarat Lions official app, which will render live updates of IPL match. It is pre-loaded with the Matrabhasha service, which facilitates the users to communicate in 21 regional languages, including Hindi.
Intex, which is an India’s biggest smartphone makers, initially used to manufacture computer peripherals. The company started with manufacturing featured phones and now also produces Android smartphones. It has also expanded its business line increasing a product portfolio. The firm has recently manufactured the TVs and introduced an Android smartwatch too.
