LG on Tuesday released Android Nougat update
As guaranteed, the electronics giant LG on Tuesday released Android Nougat update to its flagship smartphone G5.
For now, the company is releasing the operating system only in its home market South Korea and is tipped to expand the software employment process to the US, Asia, and other markets in the upcoming weeks.
With this release, the company has yet proven its loyalty towards releasing software promptly. This is the second consequent year when the company has surpassed its rival by releasing the latest update to its device. In 2015, LG G4 was the first non-nexus smartphone to receive the Android Marshmallow update.
The new software brings night mode, enhanced security update, bundled notification, enhanced battery optimisation, multi-window option and number of other value-added features that would enhance user’s smartphone experience.
When contacted the company in this regard it said that it aims to please its customer and know that they want the best, and most up-to-date smartphone experience.
LG added that getting the latest software update to their users faster than the competition has been their way of illustrating the company’s commitment and ensure users ownership experience.
To install Android Nougat update Over-The-Air (OTA)
If you receive a notification message for Android Nougat update:
- Click on “Yes, I am in.”
- The software will be downloaded, once the download is finished, select “install now.”
- Once the software is installed, your smart will re-start automatically
- Your smartphone is now updated to the latest Android Nougat
If you have not received any notification message for the update, follow the below steps to update your smartphone manually
- Go to the setting icon in the app menu
- Select “About phone.”
- Select “System Updates.”
- Select “Yes, I am in”.
- One the software is downloaded, select “Install now.”
- After the installation, your phone will automatically restart.
