One Plus X Review: One of the Best Smartphone of “OnePlus”
One Plus X Review: One Plus is a Shenzhen-based company and manufacturer of smart phones founded in year 2013. This company was founded by Pete Lau who is former vice president of OPPO. This company is popular because of its bid to offer flagship level in its smart phones at reasonable prices. This company is an affordable smart phone maker as well as a premium company. Company initially marketed its own smart phones only via an invite system where users were sent an invitation to buy phones and they had to make buy within a specified time period. One Plus already introduced two smartphone in market One Plus One and One Plus 2.
After that company has held an open market sale of its own smart phones too. Sometimes ago, users use little knowledge and think a more price equals to a good product. But market has changed in modern time with a transparency of Social sites. One Plus Company launched this phone on October, 2015 virtually using the Card board visor of Google and their app. This smart phone offers extreme value in smart phone market. This is a phone with high-end features and specifications.
Design and Look
This smart phone has a 5” inch full-HD 1920×1080 pixels display with 441 PPI and Glass-3 protection. It has 2.3GHz 801 quad-core processor joined with ADRENO 330 GPU and 3 GB RAM. This phone offers 16 GB internal memory, which is expandable up to 128 GB with a micro SD card. One Plus Company is not renowned for its design but it has shown its own commercial design benchmarks with this version. Of course, this phone does look like iphone-4 but the makers of it have jointed their own touches.
Its front and back sides have a 2.5 D glass layer which curves towards its edges. Its glass doesn’t pick up any scratches. Its tiny foot print and front and back body metal is a demerit which makes this phone much slippery. Its metal frame running around offers a good grip. Its box comes with a cheap and flexible silicon-made cover. One Plus Company had introduced cases for its phones but now they are not available in our country.
Software
About its hardware components, we get a 3.5 mm audio jack up and a USB port in bottom. On its right side there is a hybrid dual NANO-SIM tray and a volume rocker switch along with a power button. This power button is placed lower still, which gets pressed accidentally every time. Talking about its Operating System, this phone operates on its Oxygen OS 2.1.2 operated with Android Lollipop 5.1-1.
Its Operating System is almost same with little modifications. One gets a dark mode theme. Also one can set apps permission and can choose to turn on display function that light up screen every time when one gets any notification. It is a big experience that all clutters are on its right side whereas on its left edge only has a slider button for notification configurations, which was introduced in its predecessor One Plus 2 phone also. Users have never felt the need to use the slider button so it is just a waste.
Touch and Display
One Plus X phone has 5” inch 1080 p display that is sweet for users. Some users have complained that its screen is too blue but in reality there are no qualms with the phone. Its display is bright. It has buttons under its display but their existence is of no use. Yes, some users might still choose those dedicated buttons in spite of onscreen features but they are completely useless. Oxygen Operating System gives us an option of using these onscreen buttons.
Camera
It has a 13-megapixel (f/2.2) rear camera. Company declares its camera equipped with ISOCELL technology, light sensitivity for sharper images and less sound. Its front 8-megapixel camera is much better with impressive photos in good lighting as well as in low lighting conditions.
Battery Life
Its 2525 mAh battery takes about 3 hours to charge from zero to 100 %. Charging this phone for an hour only takes its battery to about 30 % charging. So if we are operating on low battery and want to head out somewhere, we require plugging it just for 30 minutes and get going to everywhere we want. If one has it at 100 % charge at 9AM, it usually lasts till about 5PM with some long usage as 3 email accounts set to push, 2 Slack accounts and a Face book account. During one battery cycle, one would rarely has about 5 hours of display on time, an hour of calling and about 3 hours of online surfing. Another feature of this phone that amuses us is the company’s insistence on not adopting a feature like Quick Charge.
Phone Accessories
This smart phone is available with handset, charger, battery, cover, earphone, etc. (As per social sources)
Variants or Updates
This phone has been launched in two series as-
One Plus X Onyx priced at INR 16,999, and
One Plus X Ceramic priced at INR 22,999.
This Onyx variant is less expensive than Ceramic variant. The battery performance of this phone was developed after OTA-software update. Company has been building Oxygen OS ever since its predecessor with Cyan oxygen last year. Since we have started using this phone (One Plus X), we have got at least 3 software updates along with it.

My Reviews on this phone-
In my opinion, this model of the company is improved one as compared to its predecessors. Its 5” inch full-HD 1920×1080 pixels display with 441 PPI and Gorilla Glass 3 protection makes it different from other variants. Its battery life is powerful as compared to other company’s phones. So it is a good phone according to me.
