Samsung Galaxy Wide launched
Samsung is expected to launch its new Galaxy Note 7 phablet at an event on August 2. Before this Samsung has also initiated another Galaxy smartphone in its market in Korea. It is called the Samsung Wide and is priced at KRW 319,000 which is around Rs. 18,600 and is expected to be available in a couple of weeks.
The Samsung Galaxy Wide launched sports a 5.5-inch TFT display and is powered by Snapdragon 310 with quad core processor which is paired with 2GB of RAM. The smartphones have a 16GB of inbuilt storage with the features of expandable storage up to 128 GB via microSD card slot.
The new smartphone features a 13-megapixel camera with the feature of auto-focus and flash. The smartphone also sports a front facing camera of 5 megapixels for clicking the selfie. The smartphones come packed with 3000 mAh battery which is expected to give up to 12 hours of video playback time and can last up to 78 hours for audio playback and with continuous talk time it can last up to 21 hours claims Samsung.
The smartphone also has various connectivity features like 4G, 3G, GPS, WIFI, Bluetooth and micro USB.
As for now, Samsung Wide has been launched in South Korea but till now there is no information about it being available in other markets and their prices. Samsung wide also carries the model number which is similar to the one launched last year which is known as Galaxy On7. The specifications of both the smartphones are identical and indicated that the Galaxy Wide is a rebranded variant for the Korean market.
Samsung is also expected to disclose its earnings for the second quarter on Thursday. It is also predicted that a 13 percent jump has been made in the operating profit from the same period a year earlier.
