Xiaomi launched Piston Fresh, a new pair of in-ear headphones, in China. The headphones are priced at CNY 29 (around Rs. 300). For now, the device is only made available in China.

The main highlight of the new Piston Fresh In-Ear headphones is that they feature and aluminium chamber which according to the company boosts the audio experience. Xiaomi claims that the new in-ear headphones will fit perfectly in the user’s ears and can be used for a long time without it getting uncomfortable. Xiaomi also touts that the new device also comes with the third-generation damping system. It also has the built-in microphone and a button for controlling volume and receiving calls.

On the other hand, the official website of the company says that the built-I microphone and volume button in the headphone work only for Android devices and do not support iPhone, iPod, and iPad devices. The Piston Fresh in-ear headphones will be made available in Blue, Pink. Silver, Black, and Purple colour variants. The headphones will be shipped with two different sizes of ear plugs.

Xiaomi stresses that the new headphones are scratch resistant as they are put up with anodised aluminium alloy material, anti-fingerprint magnet and features non-slip feel. Currently, there is no update whether the headphone will make it to the global markets. Other than that, the Piston Fresh includes a 32Ohms, impedance, a frequency response range of 20H to 20000Hz, 5mW rated power and weighs at 14 grams.

Earlier this month, the Chinese company unveiled the Mi in-ear Headphones Pro HD in the US market. The headphone was made available through the company’s online store with a price tag at $39.99 (around Rs. 2,800). The device comes with dual-dynamic and balanced armature drivers which keeps the bass and mid tones mellow and is made with graphene material that boosts up the sound.
