Xiaomi Mi Max 16 GB variant launched
Xiaomi launched the Mi Max in May, and it offered storage options for 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB. The company had not launched 16GB storage option as well. The Xiaomi Mi Max 16 GB variant launched is coupled with 2GB of RAM and is being sold by several Chinese vendors at CNY 1,199 which is around Rs 12,100.
Xiaomi has not officially announced about this variant but has silently launched it. Reports claim that the Mi Max 16GB variant is powered by a 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon and is paired with 2GB of RAM. All the other specifications of this smartphone remain the same.
The Mi Max was launched in India last week along with the MIUI 8 global ROM. Currently, the 32GB which is bundled with 3GB of RAM is available in the country. The 32GB variant is priced at Rs. 14,999 and can be purchased only through flash sales on the site Mi.com. The company claims that the 128GB variant which is bundled with 4GB of RAM will soon be available in India at Rs 19,999. There is no information about the launch of 16GB launch in India.
The smartphone has all metal body and has a 6.44-inch full HD display. It has a 16-megapixel rear facing camera with features like phase detection, autofocus, f/2.0 aperture and an LED flash. The smartphone also has a 5-megapixel front facing camera for selfies which include features like wide angle view and f/2.0 aperture. The smartphone comes with Dual SIM facility and also supports 4G LTE with VoLTE, Bluetooth, GPS, and wifi. It sports a massive 4850 mAh battery and weighs around 203 grams.
The company will soon officially launch the 16GB variant in India with information about the market availability. The new option is only available in China for now. Stay tuned for more details about this handset!
