Yu televentures, a subsidiary company of Micromax, is all set to release the company’s flagship smartphone, named Yu Yunicorn, later this month. Talking about the Yunicorn name, it was decided by the YU fans when the contest was put by the company for proposing the brand name.
Talking of the commencement of the device, a company has started sending the media invites for the event on 19th May in New Delhi for the exclusive launch of the smartphone, ”Yunicorn”. Before this, a company had clued the audience about its flagship smartphone by releasing the video teaser related to an impending launch of the particular phone. Although the released video has not hinted any details regarding the device from its name to features, now after media invites, it has been confirmed. The invite mentioned, “Join us for the unveiling of the phone that will redefine flagships.”
Speaking of the new device launch, Yu smartphone founder Rahul Sharma said, “It’s insanely beautiful, and it will break some hearts. It will break records, it will break the conventional, it will break the rules…WAIT, it will break the flagships.”
Speaking of the features of Yunicorn, little information is available, though, a few weeks before, the Yu-branded device YU5530 was listed on the Geekbench website. It has been expected that it is the same phone which is going to unveil on 19th May. And, if the expectation goes right, then it will be powered by 1.81GHz MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755M) octa-core processors and expected to be operated on Android Lollipop version. The handset will be equipped with a massive 4GB RAM.
It has already been mentioned that the device will run on Android operating system. It has also been anticipated that the device can also be powered by Cyanogen operating system. As, the announcement has been made by Rahul Sharma, that the company’ contract has been amended from “exclusive” one to the “need based” category with the American custom software.
And, the other key specs like display resolution, inbuilt storage, battery capacity, camera features, screen size, connectivity and sensor options are not yet been confirmed and has to be discovered.
