Zuk finally confirmed the launch of Zuk Edge

Zuk finally confirmed the launch of Zuk Edge; the smartphone will be launched on 20 December, Tuesday. In fact, the company shared a teaser on Weibo revealing the upcoming smartphone partially with an interface outline. By the looks of the teaser, the smartphone seemed to focus on the Chinese market. The company was supposed to launch Zuk Edge last week, however for some reasons it didn’t happen.

According to the teaser, the Zuk Edge appeared to feature an edge-to-edge display and looks similar to the Xiaomi’s Mi MIX smartphone.

Coming to the expected specifications of Zuk Edge, the device may sport a 5.5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) HD display. It will be powered by a 2.35GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor paired with 4GB or 6GB of RAM. The smartphone is tipped to offer and internal storage variant of 32GB and 64GB. It is also expected to house a fingerprint scanner, most probably underneath the Home Button at the bottom of the display.

Coming to the camera front of Zuk Edge, the smartphone is expected to come with a 13-megapixel primary camera on the back and an 8-megapixe front camera for selfies and video calling. The smartphone is tipped to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow along with ZUI 2.0 skin. It is expected to be powered by a 3000mAh battery. Past reports suggest that the Zuk Edge may come with a price tag of CNY 2,699 (around Rs. 26, 800).

The Zuk Edge is Lenovo’s fourth smartphone under the Zuk brand. So far the company launched the Zuk Z1 in August last year, Zuk Z2 Pro in April 2016, and Zuk Z2 in May 2016.

Another report suggests that the smartphone might be launched in white colour variant and would sport slim bezels around the display and will have a Home Button embedded right below the display.
