Reliance Jio Welcome Offer to end on December 3

Mukesh Ambani-led the Reliance Jio Welcome Offer to end on December 3. Reliance Industries Jio offer for free data, and voice calls mobile service will be available until 31st to only those who will buy a subscription by December 3.

Mukesh Ambani has made his debut in telecom industry last month with the announcement of Jio welcome offer starting from September 4th.

However, in order the sector regulator TRAI said as a regulation the free service should be limited to only 90 days, which expires on December 3.

TRAI informed that the amended Jio Welcome Offer had been limited to 90 days that is December 3, 2016, and consequently the offer will end after the said date.

Although, a Jio spokesperson said that the benefits of Jio Welcome Offer would be available to all the subscribers up to December 31st, 2016. However, the Jio Welcome Offer to the new users will end on 3rd December 2016. Also if you have not subscribed to the service till 3rd December, you can subscribe to the new offers and tariff plans that are offered by the company.

While launching the offer on September 1st Ambani said that Jio is providing free voice calling and the data charging rates will be at rock-bottom after the welcome offer expires.

After the TRAI order, Reliance didn’t announce the tariffs to be charged to those who will be taking subscription after December 4th.

Present operators like Vodafone and Bharti Airtel with body COAI had met the regulator against the new participant’s scheme of offering free voice call and unlimited data to the users. Although, the regulators stated that the submission had been properly examined and it cannot be labeled as IUC non-complaint, discriminatory, and predatory. And the authority will keep a close watch on the tariffs being offered by all the operators.
