ASUS announced the slimmest laptop in the world Asus ROG Zephyrus

AsusTek Computer Inc. is a Taiwanese multinational electronics and computer hardware company. Headquartered is in Beitou District, Taipei, and Taiwan. Its products include multimedia products, peripherals, wearables, servers, networking equipment, monitors, projectors, motherboards, graphics cards, optical storage, workstations, tablet PCs, desktops, laptops, notebooks, mobile phones, and networking equipment. It is the world’s 4th largest PC vendor by unit sales in 2015.

Asus RoG Zephyrus laptop

Computex 2017 shows the new laptop lineup has been announced. Asus RoG Zephyrus would be the world’s slimmest laptop to launch in last week of June 2017 in USA and Canada. It would be available in two variants ROG Zephyrus GX501VI and GX501VS. The price would be start from $2299 (around Rs. 150,000) for GTX 1070 model (GX501VI) and $2699 (around Rs.175000) for the flagship GTX 1080 (GX501VS) version.

Both these Zephyrus Features with Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor and the GTX 1080 Max-Q with less than 1.7 cm thickness and 2.2 kgs weight.

The display size of Asus RoG Zephyrus would be 15.6 Inches with Full HD resolutions (1920×1080 pixels) with the refresh rate of 120 Hz along with along with Nvidia G-Sync and 100 percent sRGB coverage is claimed to offer. It would also provide DDR4-2400 RAM of 24GB while storage option includes 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB. The ports that might be available are an HDMI 2.0 port, one USB-C port with Thunderbolt 3 and USB 3.1 Gen2, four USB 3.1 Type-A ports and RGB keyboard. The battery might be 50 Wh and dimensions 379mm x 262mm x 16.9 mm. Other connectivity options available would be WLAN (Wi-Fi 802.11ac) and Bluetooth.

ROG Zephyrus maintains its temperature with a new ‘Active Aerodynamic System’ air-flow design crammed into a 16.9 -17.9mm chassis during intensive gaming sessions, as claimed by Asus. Asus also says that it allows 20 percent more airflow because of its flexible design. It can support up to 30 keys pressed at the same time, keyboard, as mentioned, has RGB lighting, and features anti-ghosting keys.

15.6-inch 1080p USB monitor called Asus ZenScreen has also been launched. Asus ZenScreen does not have the touch screen, but it comes with a pen to prop up the monitor. The price of ZenScreen is $249 (around Rs. 16000) and will launch in Taiwan first, and follow to in other markets.

ROG Swift PG35VQ gaming monitor has also been launched during the ROG event that has a quantum dot 3440×1440 pixels LCD with HDR support. It comes with the impressive refresh rate of 200Hz and G-sync support. There are no clues on availability and pricing of ROG Swift PG35VQ.
