Just a few months ago there were rumors about BlackBerry working on two new midrange Android smartphones. One with a physical keyboard and one without it which was said to be released this year. Let’s see BlackBerry’s 3 upcoming Android smartphones
The first phone is scheduled to launch in between July-August, which is known as Neon. It has a 5.2-inch display with Snapdragon 617. The phone has a 3GB of RAM. It has a storage of 16GB and a 2610 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick charge2.0. The camera sports a 13 megapixel rear facing the camera and an 8-megapixel front facing the camera. This smartphone is expected to have an aluminum frame and a plastic back. It is also supposed to be priced free on contract.
The second phone which is named as Argon is scheduled to launch in October. It is the most powerful bunch with a 5.5-inch QHD display with Snapdragon 820. The phone has a 4GB of RAM. It has an internal storage of 32 GB with a 3000 mAh battery with quick charge 3.0. The handset sports a 21-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. This phone also has a fingerprint scanner and a USB type-C connector.
The third phone which is named as Mercury is expected to release in the year 2017. It will feature a 4.5 full HD display in 3:2 ratio with Snapdragon 625. It will have a 3GB of RAM. The internal storage of this phone will be 32GB with a 3400 mAh battery. The phone features an 18-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. It is a full aluminum device, and it features a QWERTY keyboard, but it will follow a candy bar form factor.
According to Evan Blass, the three smartphones will be priced competitively, so that they save BlackBerry’s relevance as a hardware manufacturer. The company is trying its best to build QWERTY keyboard smartphones.
