OnePlus has launched OnePlus 3T smartphone in India
OnePlus has launched the OnePlus 3T smartphone in India at an event in New Delhi on Friday. The event will strat on 11 am IST, and the company announced the India availability and price of the smartphone. The 64GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 29,999 whereas the 34GB storage model is priced at Rs. 34, 999.
A quick recap, the OnePlus 3T was initially launched last month, and until now, has been made available in the US, UK, and Europe. In these provinces, the smartphone has substituted the original OnePlus 3. Having said that this might not be the case in India as the company confirmed that it would continue to sell OnePlus 3 in India, which means both the smartphone will be made available in the Indian market.
The major differences between both the smartphone are increased storage space, enhanced camera, faster SoC, and a larger battery. In the US, the 64GB variant comes with a price tag of $439 (around Rs. 29,800) on the other hand the 128GB variant has been priced at $ 479 (around Rs. 32,500). The OnePlus was launched with a price tag of $399 (Rs. 27,999 approximately), and the device is only available in a 64GB variant.
The OnePlus 3T comes with a faster Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC where two cores clocked at 1.6GHz and two cores clocked at 2.35GHz when compared to the original version which has Snapdragon 820 SoC. The smartphone offers two storage options- 64GB and 128GBÂ whereas the standard variant only offered 64GB variant.
Coming to the upgraded optics, the OnePlus 3T sports a 16-megapixel camera while the OnePlus 3 offers the 8-megapixel camera. Also, the new smartphone has switching sensors from the Sony IMX179 along with 1.4-micron pixels to the Samsung 3P8SP paired with 1-micron pixel.

Finally, the OnePlus 3T bundles a larger battery of 3400mAH as compared to the 3000mAh battery we have seen in OnePlus 3. It also has the Dash Charge support. Other specifications of both smartphones remain same.
