Xiaomi is tipped to launch the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 tablet on December 30 in China. The company is expected to bring significant upgrades to the innards compared to the older tablet variants which include ultrasonic fingerprint sensor which presumably will be housed at front.
The rumours have it that the device will be priced at CNY 1,999 (Rs. 20,000 approximately) for the 128GB storage variant and the 256GB storage variant might be priced at CNY 2,299 (Rs. 22,500). Xiaomi is also rumoured to unveil a magnetic keyboard worth CNY 99 (Rs. 1000 approx.) for the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 tablet.
Coming to the rumoured specifications of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 tablet, the device is expected to come with a 9.7-inch display along with 2048×1536 pixels screen resolutions. The tablet is tipped to be powered by a 2.6GHz dual-core Intel M3-7Y30 processor paired with 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM. As mentioned above it is expected to come in storage variants- one with 128GB model and another with 256GB model. Contrary to the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 which was offered in both Windows and Android variants, the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 tablet is tipped to feature just Windows variant running Windows 10.
The tablet is expected to have an all-metal body and powered by a massive 8290mAh battery along with fast charging support. In term of the camera, the device is tipped to bear a 16-megapixel primary camera at the back and an 8-megapixel camera housed at the front. The dimensions of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 tablet is expected to measure at 239.5×164.5×6.08mm, and it weighs 380 grams.
Xiaomi launched the first Mi Pad tablet in its home country back in 2014, and it arrived in India last year and was priced at Rs. 12, 999. Though earlier this year the device received at price cut.
Last year Xiaomi launched Mi Pad 2 tablets based on Android OS in two storage models- 16GB and 64GB variants. While the former was priced at CNY 999 (around Rs. Rs. 10,300), the latter came with a price tag of CNY 1, 299 (around Rs. 13, 500). The company also launched a Window version of the tablet with 64GB variant at the same price.
