Launch of Lenovo Phab 2 is all set in India on Tuesday
Finally, Lenovo is all set to launch Phab 2 in India on Tuesday. The Chinese manufacturer is also sending out invites for the event that will commence at 11 am IST. As we mentioned in our earlier post, Lenovo Phab 2 will be available exclusively on Flipkart.
The company had already launched the Phab 2 Plus in India last month. However, we don’t have any words concerning its plan to launch the Phab 2 Pro, the Tango-ready smartphone in the country.
To recall, the Lenovo Phab 2 is a variant of Phab 2Plus with some downgrades. The Phab 2 features a lower resolution display; the camera resolution is also downgraded, and the smartphone also lacks the fingerprint sensor. Seeing that the company launched Lenovo Phab 2 Plus in India at Rs. 14,999, we expect that the Phab 2 will have a much more affordable price tag.
The Phab 2 was first launched at the Lenovo’s Tech World Event in June at the price of $199 (around Rs. 13,500). Though the company’s US site reveals that now the company has dropped its price at $169 (around Rs. 11,500) so in India, we can expect the rate to be closer to this price.
As for the specification of Lenovo Phab 2, the smartphone comes with a 6.4-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display, and it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The handset is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8735 processor paired with 3GB of RAM. It comes with an onboard storage capacity of 32GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
The Phab 2 bears a 13-megapixel primary camera along with LED flash and PDAF, on the other hand, it has a 5-megapixell front snapper paired with an 85-degree wide-angle lens.
For connectivity, the device carries 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, and GPS support. It is powered by a huge 4050mAh battery and is available in Gunmetal Grey and Champagne Gold colour variants. The dimensions of Phab 2 is measured at 175×88.5×9.6mm and weighs 225 grams.
