The world’s thinnest laptop is launched in India
Acer’s Swift laptop was launched at IFA earlier this year. The launch of this laptop certainly managed to grab everyone’s attention as the company claimed it to be the ‘world’s thinnest laptop’ beating the Apple MacBook (13mm). The laptop is 9.98mm to be precise. Now the world’s thinnest laptop is launched in India and will go on sale on November 18.
The laptop will be available via Acer’s exclusive stores and some selected multi-brand outlets. Whereas online Acer Swift 7 will be exclusively available on Flipkart. Acer Swift 7 laptop’s starting price is set at Rs. 99,999. Apart from being the thinnest laptop, the base model features a 13.3-inch HD (1080×1920 pixels) display along with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It weighs at 1.1 kg, so it is easy to carry around. The laptop also comes with two USB Type-C ports.
In the press release Acer India informs that the Swift 7 features an all-aluminium framework that is thinner than one centimetre and it is a performance packed laptop for all-day productivity.
The base model features an Intel seventh generation Core i5 processor paired with 4GB of RAM that can be expanded up to 8GB. It offers a 256GB SSD. The company claims that the battery of the laptop lasts for up to nine hours.
Chandrahas Panigrahi, senior director and consumer business head at Acer India, at the press release said that they are quite excited about the India launch of Acer Swift 7. Apart from being the thinnest laptop in the world, it comes with a premium positioning in the market and with this latest offering the company provide great performance in a thin and beautiful package. Over the past few quarter, Acer has focused on fortifying its product by the help of latest technologies.
