The Xiaomi is all set to rock its flagship smartphone, Mi 5. The company has put its sleeves up for Xiaomi MI 5, which was launched in February 2016 and prepped up in adding a color variant of the device.
On 29th April, the company is going to launch the stunning Gold edition of its prominent phone in two variants i.e. standard and high version. The standard version will be powered by 1.8 GHz Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 processor and backed by 3GB of RAM. The graphic side will be controlled by Adreno 530@510 MHz GPU. Also, the internal memory of the device will be equipped with 32 GB of storage space. Secondly, the high version will also run using the same processor but will be overclocked at 2.15 GHz. The graphic part is handled by Adreno 510 GPU@624MHz. Further on, the device is coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage instead of 32GB native storage space.
In supplement, Xiaomi Mi 5 gold edition will feature 3D glass instead of ceramic, which is a cherry on the cake.
Mi 5 is a 5.15-inch touchscreen phone with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels at a PPI of 428 pixels and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 back panel. The device runs Android’s latest version Marshmallow operating system and is packed up with a 3000mAh battery. The rear camera features 16MP with f/2.0 aperture along with a flashlight and the front camera sports 4-megapixel and includes phase detection autofocus, geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, panorama, HDR. The device measures 144.50 x 69.20 x 7.25 mm and weighs 129 gm. A dual-SIM phone’s connectivity options include 4G/LTE, NFC, infrared, GPS, USB OTG, Bluetooth v 4.20, and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/ b/ g/ n/ ac except FM. Sensor features include compass, proximity sensor, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, and barometer.
Talking about the price, the standard version of Xiaomi Mi 5 Gold Edition will be available at a price tag of $305 and the high version will cost $355.
Xiaomi, headquarter in Beijing is going to launch the three classic product, Mi Max, MIUI 8 ROM and Mi Band 2 on 10th May 2016. And not only this, at an event in Beijing, the company’s Vice-President and co-founder Lei Jun stated that the company is going to launch the first-ever smartwatch in the second half of this year.
