India is the first overseas market for a Chinese Tech company Xiaomi. This Tech Company has launched its two major phones in India on 27th April 2016. The following phones are- Xiaomi Mi 5 and Redmi Note 3. These two smartphones have been admired by the tech media and the users of the phone in the particular country. The Xiaomi Mi 5 was unveiled in February 2016, and Redmi Note 3 was released in November 2015.
The product is available on an open sale to its customer only on its own website i.e. Mi.com in India. This brings the happy news for the customers who have not yet done the prior registration for any of the smartphone.
But, on Amazon, the device is still available on flash sale i.e. if a person wishes to buy it from Amazon, the prior registration is compulsory.
Xiaomi Mi 5, the flagship smartphone is available at a price tag of Rs 24,999 and the Redmi Note, which comes out in two variants i.e. first one with 2GB+16GB costs at Rs 9999 and the second one comes with 3GB+16GB storage priced at Rs 11,999.
To recall the features of Xiaomi Mi5, it is a 5.15-inch touchscreen phone with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels at a PPI of 428 pixels. The phone is available in three color variants i.e. Black, White, and Gold. It is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and is supported by Android’s latest version Marshmallow operating system. The rear camera sports 16MP along with flash and front facing camera features 4-megapixel. The device measures 144.50 x 69.20 x 7.25 mm and weighs 129 gm. A dual-SIM phone supports connectivity of 4G network, NFC, infrared, GPS, USB OTG, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi except FM. Finally, the phone is packed up with a 3000mAh battery.
Talking about Redmi Note 3; it is a 5.5-inch touchscreen phone with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels at a PPI of 403 pixels. The device is powered by a 1.4GHz hexacore Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor and is supported by Androidv5.1 Lollipop operating system. The rear camera features 16MP along with flash and front camera sports 5-megapixel. It measures 150.00 x 76.00 x 8.65 mm and weighs 164 gm. A dual-SIM phone supports connectivity of 4G network, FM, infrared, GPS, USB OTG, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi except NFC. And lastly, it is backed by a 4050mAh battery.
Both the Android phones are an opportunity to be grabbed at this price, featuring more than their price tag.
