LYF Earth 2 Launched by Reliance
Reliance launched the LYF brand of smartphone in the tandem with their 4G startup JIO earlier this year. LYF newest member of its series, LYF Earth 2 launched by reliance yesterday. It is priced at Rs 19,999.
Earth 2 comes with two different features. The first one is the Iris retina scanner which will allow the user to unlock their phone with their eyes and the second one is the 13-megapixel front camera with features like auto focus and flash.

Earth 2 runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 615. It features a 5-inch full HD display with a 3GB of RAM. It has a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash and 13-megapixel front camera. It sports a 2500 mAh battery. With the retina scanner, it also has a fingerprint scanner. The phone has nothing new if compared with the LYF brand water 5 smartphone. The phone is also launched with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, and it is not clear if reliance will provide software updates or not.

Meanwhile, JIO has opened their 4G program to people recently without any invites required. Users will have to buy a LYF brand smartphone for the JIO connection, but they will also get three months of unlimited 4G data which is a great deal for the users. Reliance has also come up with an offer for their users to use the JIO network by offering 10GB of 4G data for just Rs 93. Due to this new system, Reliance is getting a great transaction through offline sales in India because of their lower offerings and ample amount of 4G data. Reliance achieved the 5th position in the smartphone shipments in India only in the first quarter of this year. There’s a lot kept in store for Reliance.
