Isha Ambani’s Tweet About Reliance Jio Was Indeed Fake

Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s company Reliance Jio can blast another bomb this year on Diwali. The company is going to launch home broadband service JioFiber, in which customers will get 100 GB data in 500 rupees. Not only this, you will also get speed up to 1 Gbps.

Such tweet was done from the Twitter account of the company’s board director and the name of Isha Ambani, daughter of Mukesh Ambani. The tweet was written, “Reliance Jio Fiber to offer 100GB data for Rs 500 in 100 cities by Diwali and speed 1Gbps”. However, Reliance Jio has termed this Twitter account as a fake.

In December 2015, joining the list of upcoming top 12 businessmen in Asia to treat Isha Ambani was also involved in his brother Akash Ambani and brand ambassador SRK during the launching of Reliance Jio. Recently Economic Times had also reported that Reliance Jio home broadband service can be launched around Diwali. Like the Reliance Jio Infocomm, the launch of JioFiber can also start the price war between other operators.

The grand festival Diwali is on October 19, 2017. According to the ‘fake’ tweet, the base pack of Jio fiber can be 500 rupees, in which 100 GB data will be available. Other companies are currently giving half its data in double priced. The number of home broadband consumers in the country is quite small. There are only 20 million broadband users in India, 50% of which is owned by the government company BSNL.

Reliance Jio’s goal is to reach out to 100 big cities of the country by the end of this year. In the Reliance General Annual General Meeting in July, Ambani had said that the company is working fast on the high-speed broadband network. Broadband service can be a huge source of revenue for Jio.

WiFi Dongle

A few days ago, Reliance Communications launched its WiFi dongle. With this, the company is also offering one-year offers in which the user will get 1GB 4G data for one year and the user will get a new 4G SIM, Whose validity will be 365 days. Under this bundle offer, the dongle of 3,200 rupees is being given free of cost. Reliance Communications is offering a new 4G SIM, a dongle with a validity of one year at Rs 5,199. The Wi-Pod dongle looks like a Jiofi dongle to a large extent.

There is a Qualcomm MDM 9307 processor in Dongle and it supports a Micro-USB port, SIM card slot and microSD card slot up to 32 GB. The dongle has hardware buttons such as Power and WPS and it can be reset if needed. This device has 2,300mAH battery. Once the battery is charged, it is claimed to last for 5 to 6 hours. This device can connect to 31 Wi-Fi users simultaneously.
