A new wireless broadband has launched by the China-Based company Xiaomi in China which is named as Xiaomi Mi Router 3G. As compared to the predecessor Mi Router 3, The Xiaomi Mi Router 3G is dual-gigabit band router and with some additional specification bumps. The only color in which the Wi-Fi router is available is white, and the price of Xiaomi Mi Router 3G price in China is CNY 249 (around Rs 2360).
There are four upgrades in Xiaomi Mi Router 3G as compared to its predecessor which are- support for USB 3.0, dual-band, 128MB ROM, and 256MB of RAM. To meet the 100M fibre-class broadband for up to 128 simultaneous devices, it makes the use of ‘Gigabit Ethernet’ port design. The ‘broadband acceleration’ feature can be enabled to get five times the data speeds with the help of Mi Home’s Wi-Fi app. This feature is available to some Unicom broadband subscribers and most areas in China.
As far as the design of the Xiaomi Mi Router 3G is the concern, it has four upward directional multi-oscillator high gain antennae whose work is to decrease same frequency interference, and help to achieve better network coverage by strengthening the signal. To process data faster than the previous model it comes with 256 MB of RAM and 128 MB of ROM. Xiaomi Mi Router 3G is powered by dual-core 880MHz MediaTek MT7621A processor to reduce the delay of the network during data transmission. USB 3.0 technology is also supported by Xiaomi Mi Router 3G for faster local area network to share local files.
Cyber threats are one of the main concerns in the modern networking era. By keeping that in mind Xiaomi has equipped Internet security features in Mi Router 3G to protect devices and data from cyber threats.
The body dimensions of the Mi Router 3G are 195mm x131mm x177.3mm and weight of 260.4 grams.
Xiaomi has launched the Mi Router 3G in China and will be available in upcoming months in India, while Mi Router 3C has been launched in India by Xiaomi at a price of Rs 1,199. It is now available on Amazon India and Flipkart from June 8.
