Zuk Edge has been unveiled in the Chinese market
Lenovo has been teasing the Edge smartphone for quite some time and now finally Zuk Edge has been unveiled in the Chinese market. The smartphone will go on sale from 1 January in China with a price tag of CNY 2,299 (around Rs. 22,500) for the 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM model, and the 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM variant will be priced at CNY 2,499 (around Rs. 24,500). The device will be made available in Titanium Crystal Black and Ceramic White colour variants
Coming to the specification of Zuk Edge, the main highlight of the device is its 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC processor. Other than that, the smartphone comes with 5.5-inch HD TDDI display along with Corning Gorilla Glass that is expected to have an 86.4 percent screen-to-body ratio. The smartphone comes with dual-SIM support and run on Android 7.0 Nougat-based ZUI 2.5.
In terms of the optics, the Zuk Edge smartphone sports a 13-megapixel primary camera at the back along with a 1.34-micron pixel Samsung ISOCELL sensor, PDAF+CAF hybrid autofocus, a high-brightness flash, and a f/2.2 aperture. Coming to the front camera, the device comes with an 8-megapixel camera with a f/2.2 aperture and 1.12-micron pixel sensor. The Zuk Edge smartphone offers expandability of 64GB. However, there is no expandability option on the device.
As for the connectivity of Zuk Edge, it offers 4G LTE, Bluetooth v4.1, USB Type-C v3.1 port, GPS/A-GPS, and Wi-Fi 802.11ac. The dimensions of the smartphone are measured at 142.9×74.5×7.68mm, and it weighs at 160 grams. Sensor onboard includes an ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, magnetometer, gyroscope, and accelerometer. The device features under-glass U Touch fingerprint sensor that is rated to unlock the handset in under 0.9 seconds. It also houses its built-in blood oxygen heart rate sensor. Another interesting feature in Zuk Edge is a pneumatic altimeter and a UV light sensor.
