Video Messages on Google Hangouts for Android Users
Hangouts have been one of the most popular applications. So Google has now rolled out an update for its Hangout app which will allow users to record and send videos to other users. The video messaging feature was first launched on hangouts for the iOS users in the year 2014. Now Google has launched this feature for the Android users too. Now there is a service for Video Messages on Google Hangouts for Android Users.
The latest hangouts v11.0 update will be compatible with both Android and iOS platforms. This year, Google increased the time limit on the video from 10 seconds to 1 minute on the apple’s iOS. The latest update has further increased the duration limit to 2 minutes on iOS. It is going to be simple for the users just to record a video and send it in the group chat or the personal chat. Though, iOS users have the benefit of time duration which exceeds up to 2 minutes.
However, for the Android users, the time limit will just be one minute. In addition to all this, the update will no longer allow the Android users to merge the conversations and a feature that combines your Hangouts and text messages in the same conversations. So now there will be different conversations for text messages and Hangout messages.
In support to all this Google explains that it has decided to remove the conversations to merge as the users got confused and had low usage. The merge feature on hangout created a major problem for some users. So, it got removed for the good.
Google has now released the new Hangouts update on Google Play, but the new version is not yet available in India. It is expected that the new version of the popular google’s hangout app will soon be available in India for the Android users and iOS users. For further information, stay tuned!
