Apple is sampling more than 10 models for iPhone 8

As we all Apple is working on the iPhone 8 that is scheduled to launch next year and the handset is expected to feature major upgrades to celebrate the ten-year anniversary. One of the main highlighted upgrades it tipped to be the shift to OLED displays and the Cupertino company is apparently is expected to introduce a curved edge in at least one of the variants that will be launched next year. Moreover, according to the reports of Wall Street Journal, the tech giant Apple is sampling more than 10 models of the iPhone 8, and the OLED display variant is one of them. The report adds that the Apple has asked its suppliers except Samsung to boost up their work on OLED panels.

Even though Apple has signed a deal with Samsung for the supply of OLED panels, it apparently has also asked Japan Display, LG Display, and Sharp. All these companies are reportedly ready to ramp up their production of LED display by 2018. Apple has also asked them to submit sample display with better resolution than the ones from Samsung. The projected shortage of the panels is the reason why the company said it is considering OLED panels in an only premium model and not all. The OLED display will be exclusively in premium variant as it is pricey that the current LCD display. By introducing them to all variants, the company is risks crumbling its profit margin too thin. The reports have it that the high-end variant will come with OLED display panel that is curved.

The Apple’s iPhone 8 is tipped to come with an all-glass back, a bezel-less panel along with no Home Button. It will also feature an optical fingerprint sensor and support an enhanced wireless charging support. I know you must be craving for iPhone 8 now. But we can’t do anything right now except waiting for the exceptional phone.!
