The most valuable company Apple launched its new 2017 models of iPad Pro tablets with the display size of 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch at WWDC 2017 last week. The both tablets have the RAM of 4 GB, and the tablets of 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch variants of the new iPad Pro were spotted performing equally in the benchmark tests as well. Greekbench listing both the Apple iPad Pro RAM of 4 GB in 10.5-Inch and 12.9-Inch, But 4GB RAM is in the bigger 12.9-inch model, the smaller variant of 9.7 Inch features with 2 GB RAM. Apple was likely to introduce more memory to smaller 10.5 Inch iPad Pro model also.
As mentioned earlier both the models of Apple iPad Pro 2017, 10.5 Inch and iPad Pro 12.9 Inch are performing well in the benchmark scores, but 10.5 Inch model is slightly edging out the larger variant on Geekbench 4 in both of single and double core test with their A10X Fusion processor.
iFixit also verified in its teardown of the Apple iPad Pro 10.5 Inch that the tablet has the RAM of 4 GB. In the teardown of the Apple iPad Pro 10.5 Inch Apple has used the same internal design as the original 12.9-inch iPad Pro. Including the placement of the display cables in the middle of the device. iFixit also said, “We have seen this arrangement on an iPad only once before in the original 12.9-inch model, and it appears Apple finally managed to unify the Pro line around this somewhat more symmetrical design.”
To achieve exceptional refresh rate of 120Hz, Apple has to combine four connecting cables to the display as compared with two cables in the original iPad Pro 12.9 inch 2017, the teardown revealed. In its teardown, it is also founded by iFixit, that fused front panel increases the display repair cost and there will always be the risk of damaging LCD while opening. Considering these factors, iFixit has given only 2 out of 10 rating points to reparability of 10.5-inch variant of the Apple iPad Pro.
