iPhone 8 to come in 3 sizes, all-glass rear casing, and bezel-less display
The iPhone 7 just launched last month, and rumours of what the tech giant is planning for its ten-year iPhone anniversary next year is already picking up. A recent report suggests that the iPhone 8 to come in 3 sizes, all-glass rear casing, and bezel-less display. While some claims that the iPhone will come would come in three variants, some claim this rumour to be untrue.
There is another rumour that the company might be ditching the metal casing and instead opting for the all-glass casing. Moreover, there will be another size added to the blend, and the new iPhone may come in 4.7-inch, 5-inch, and 5.5-inch variants.
The report said that the company has cautiously decided that the 4.7-inch, 5-inch, and 5.5-inch displays will get all-glass rear, rather than the traditional metal casing we have to see in current iPhones.
The report further adds that one of the variants may feature an-edge-to-edge OLED display with no bezel on top or bottom. The other two variants will stick with the LCD displays.
At the same time, another source reveals that Apple has no plans to release a third 5-inch variant. The company is planning to stick to the tradition when it comes to the size, and only 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch will be announced next year.
The all-glass back rumour has been going on for a while, and some recent reports are further cementing its appearance. It appears that the next years iPhone will see some major changes, and apart from the above-mentioned reports the company is also planning to completely ditch the Home button, incorporating it with the display.
Having said that, these all are just rumours and cannot be trusted completely. So wait for the official announcement by the company before forming your opinion.
