India’s biggest Telecom giant Company Bharti Airtel is in the process of launching a cheap 4G smartphone, to compete with Reliance Jio’s Rs 1500 phone. The price of this smartphone will be 2500 rupees and it will be sold in the market before Diwali. The company also said that the phone is costlier than JioPhone because they will provide bigger screen and battery size as compared to them.
For this, Airtel is in talks with many companies which are the manufacturer of the smartphones. The users of this phone will be provided with a lot of data and talk-time benefits in a lower price. The main motive of launching this feature phone from Airtel is to remain in the race with the Reliance Jio.

This upcoming 4G device will be promoted jointly by Airtel and handset maker’s company name but Airtel will not provide any subsidy on this device as provided by the Jio. This phone will work on the most popular Android operating system.
A source linked to this case told that Airtel will allow its users to download all the apps which are available on the Google Play App Store on this phone. This phone may be launched in the last weeks of September or October before Diwali.
A senior executive of the industry, which has given this information on this scheme of Airtel, he said that Airtel is negotiating with some handset manufacturers to launch 4G mobile phone at the price tag of Rs 2500. This phone will have a bigger screen, a better camera, and a sturdy battery.
He told that this conversation is now in the final stages. A source associated with handset manufacturers like Lava and Karbonn said that these companies are negotiating with Airtel for a mass-production of 4G smartphone. Lava and Karbonn’s spokesman refused to say anything on this concept from the Airtel. At the same time, Bharti Airtel’s spokesperson said that he does not want to say anything on market rumors.
Airtel sources say that low-cost 4G smartphones will pull customers through their big screen, better camera, and battery.
