Specifications and price of Reliance Jio 4G VoLTE Feature Phones leaked

There are rumors that the Reliance is working on the Reliance Jio 4G VoLTE feature phones since January 2017; there are reports that will hit the markets soon. The company behind the Lyf Smartphone range is Reliance Retail which is planning to launch the feature phone in two variant, which are in production already as per the reports. The company wants to aim the rural market with low-cost phones which are bundled with Jio apps as well as Reliance Jio 4G SIM. The main goal for Reliance Jio is to reach the non-Smartphone users.

Price of Reliance Jio 4G VoLTE feature phone

Qualcomm and Spreadtrum chipsets might be available in the Reliance Jio 4G VoLTE-enabled feature phones as per the reports. The price would be according to the chipset available in the device. The model with Spreadtrum would be slightly cheaper at $ 27 (around Rs 1740), and the price of Qualcomm model might be $ 28 (around Rs 1800). There are reports that initially company would subsidize the price of the Reliance Jio 4G mobiles, in according to increase its telecom customers to around 110 million. With subsidy, Reliance Jio may offer the phone at a low price of around Rs. 999-1,500.

Specifications of Reliance Jio 4G VoLTE feature phone

Reliance Jio 4G phone might have the basic hardware, display size of 2.4-inch, 4 GB Internal storage with expansion via microSD card, 512 MB RAM, 2-megapixel rear camera, and VGA front camera. Including Jio SIM for 4G connectivity, it will features with WI-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and NFC, while there is no confirmation of Wi-Fi hotspot option.

As the leaked photo shows, Reliance Jio 4G feature phone might have an alphanumeric keyboard below the screen. The buttons will be dedicated for MyJio, JioCinema,  JioTV, and JioMusic apps.

4G VoLTE feature phones might help the rural market users with low-end devices who wants high-speed internet. The telecom operator has acquired over 100 million users within six months of launch. Now they are looking forward to further growth in the mobile market in rural areas.
