Samsung gears up to unveil a new generation of Galaxy A series

The time has arrived when the Samsung gears up to unveil a new generation of Galaxy A series. Last year in December, the company launched second-generation Galaxy A smartphones which were comprised of Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5, and Galaxy A7. As the Samsung fans wait for the tech giant to launch the 2017 variant of the Galaxy A series, some fresh rumours have cropped out to add some dept to the smartphone’s launch.

According to a recent report by Sammobile, the upcoming Galaxy A7 is tipped to feature a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED HD display, making it slightly bigger than the 5.5-inch Galaxy A7. The smartphone is expected to be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 7880 Octa processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB onboard storage which will be expandable.

It rumours turn out to be true, one of the biggest highlights of the Galaxy A7 (2017) is expected to sport 16-megapixel front snapper along with f/1.9 aperture. It is expected that the company will feature the same 16-megapixel optics that featured on the Galaxy C9 Pro. On the other hand, the primary camera is expected to sport 16-megapixel module, similar to the previous version.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy A7 is also tipped to sport an IP68 certification, making it dust and water-resistant, similar to the Samsung Galaxy S7. The company has been slowly slotting in  premium features in its mid-range Galaxy A series and an IP68 certification could certainly do the job.

It is expected that the smartphone would sport the standard connectivity and a USB Type-C port. The Samsung Galaxy A7 is expected to be heavier at 157.69×76.76.92×7.8mm compared to the previous variant which measured at 151.5×74.1×7.3mm. The heavier weight could be because of a larger 3600mAh battery and expected to be suitable for the upcoming device.

Going by the past, the smartphone is expected to launch sometime in December this year.
